The Dana Point Woman's Club was organized as El Camino Real Woman’s Club in July 1951. In 1952 Community House, Inc. was incorporated and a building contract was in place to erect the present Community House. The Community House was dedicated in 1953, after two years of planning, volunteer work and fundraising for donations.
The Community House became the regular meeting place for the Woman's Club. In 1978, the El Camino Real Woman's Club changed their name to the Dana Point Woman's Club. The Dana Point Woman's Club participates in local events, such as the Festival of the Tall Ships in October and the Whale Festival in March.
